Contact us
We are committed to creating a culture where everyone feels free to speak about concerns securely and confidentially. That includes employees, contractors, directors and officers working in our offices and industrial assets, as well as third parties such as customers, suppliers or other stakeholders.
Zero tolerance against retaliation
We do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who speaks openly about conduct they believe is unethical, illegal or not in line with our Code of Conduct and policies, even if the concern doesn’t turn out to be substantiated, and as long as it is not raised knowing it is false.
Watch why we value a culture of speaking openly and raising concerns
How do we encourage people to raise concerns?
Employees and contractors are encouraged to first report concerns to the relevant managers or supervisors at their office or industrial asset since they are usually best equipped to resolve concerns quickly and effectively.
They can also reach out to people nominated at our offices and industrial assets to receive concerns. These people, called Whistleblowing Contacts, are typically members of the senior management team. If requested, Whistleblowing Contacts will treat the concern confidentially, and concerns can also be reported to them anonymously, for example from an anonymized email address.
If the concern remains unresolved or someone feels uncomfortable using these local channels, a report can also be made to the Raising Concerns Programme, our corporate program managed in Switzerland.
Glencore takes all concerns seriously and handles them promptly, using an objective, fact-based approach. Concerns are investigated either by our corporate office in Switzerland, or locally, depending on the nature and severity of the concern. We don’t tolerate any form of punishment, discipline or retaliatory action to be taken against people for speaking up or cooperating with an investigation.
Our Whistleblowing Policy
Our Whistleblowing Policy sets out Glencore's approach to reporting, escalating, handling and/or investigating concerns related to our business and the protections available to our people. It encourages and supports our people to report concerns knowing we take them seriously, handle and/or investigate them appropriately and respect confidentiality.
